A paradise for water lovers

Relax in the pool or enjoy the huge variety of natural water from riverside beaches in Goian (with cordoned off areas to swim) and La Guardia at the mouth of the river Minho to coastal beaches in both Spain and Portugal.

The Atlantic Ocean pounds Portugal's coastline and there are natural surfing beaches such as Afife and Patos beaches. Spain is a perfect place to learn surfing.

The protected shallow-water beaches of Bayona in Spain are ideal for paddling. Sea kayaks and hobi cats can be hired at Playa America.
Isla Cies (island in the sky) is just a ferry trip away from Bayona and was voted as having one of the best beaches in the world.

For something different, take a picnic and enjoy a day by the Lorezo waterfalls, fed by a mountain river with natural pools where you can swim and play in the crystal clear waters.
